Yes, this is a hosted red5 server (my server installed it for me) and yes I have access to the webapps directory which is in the root.  I am running on a VPS with WHM and cPanel.

The demo does work.

If someone could just help me with the rtmp info I'd be most grateful.

Is this a hosted Red5 server?

Are you sure you have access to the webapps folder?

This i think is on the root dir and you might not have access to it if the red5 is hosted.

I am trying to install Multi6xRed5 into FlashChat 6.08 which is integrated with osDate 2.54.

The demo is working and my chat page comes up with VJ links across the top so I know I'm on the right track, but instead of video boxes I just show one small icon indicating a missing or broken pic.

I have two problems.  The first is that I'm not sure where to upload some of the files due to the fact that I have a red5 directory installed on my public_html directory, and the download came with a red5server directory.  The instructions say red5 (not red5server) but I've been trying everything in the hopes of not having to bother you.

The second problem is that I am not sure of the rtmp URL, or which directory it should be in.

I have uploaded lang folder to public_html/dating/chat/inc/langs
I have uploaded chat.swf, clipAV.swf, dropdown.xml and navbar.swf to public_html/dating/chat

I have tried many variations of the rtmp URL including
server.christiangays.com/red5
209.212.154.244/red5
http://christiangays.com/red5
rtmp://christiangays.com:5080
server.christiangays.com/dating/chat/multi6x/red5server
etc.

I have tried uploading the rtmp.php file to the
public_html
public_html/red5
public_html/dating/chat/multi6x/www/

My website is http://ChristianGays.com.  If you could tell me please (using the above information)
1.   exactly what my rtmp URL should be and
2.   the path to where it should be uploaded
I would be most appreciative.

Can i ask what the fixes were as i have none of the issues that i posted with originally?

still no scrolling and cams getting locked in?

Also the statuses are all showing as objects,

Any suggestions?

Hi HTH

I just started and it took me a bit of time to get flashchat working and it does. I purchased the version 6.0.8 and I also purchased the modules which is something I probably did nt have to do.  Its a nice program but I felt it was not user friendly. I saw the mod you have and felt that would be much more user friendly than the existing software. Are there screenshots I can provide? Folder locations? There was not an opt folder. I created one but that did not work. The long and the short is I followed the instructions to the best of my ability and its not working. I am sure its me.

hmmm, 4,5,6,..

what the best ?

now i have FlashChat v4.7.6 and it works (only Text-Chat)

but i like to have CamChat... My Provider give me a Red5 Version 0.9.1final

when i`m now make somethink at the Chat i like to have the best. The AV modul i have download by darren doesent work with red5.

I will be glad to give you a free update.
What version do you want 4, 5, or 6?
They are all different files so they need different addons.
They all will work in osdate integrated flashchat.

No the multi6x will not work in 4x
You need the multi4x addon for that.

AWESOME RESPONSE!  Thank you so much!  I will go with the Multi6x.  The info about the load on the server is definitely my deciding factor.

Just to verify then, can I use the Multi6x with my Standalone FC v4.712 as well as my integrated FC v6.08?

I will buy for v6.08 in any event.
